about Ruben R. diaz

Ruben R. Diaz hails from the “magic” city of Miami, Florida. Born to Cuban immigrants, Ruben fell in love with storytelling, first through books and comic books, then through the films of James Cameron, Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino, and Danny Boyle. But it was in the most peculiar of high school classrooms — a health class — where an assignment to write a story inspired him to create a tale that would circulate throughout the school. It was then writing became a career choice. 

Over the next 20 years, Ruben served as managing editor of LO-FI Magazine, copywriter for Excalibur Electronics, and content creator at Waltham Technologies, Florida International University, Monkeys Fighting Robots, and PopAxiom. During this same time, Ruben wrote award-winning short films, plays, comic books, two web-series, and an award-winning feature film.
